1.7.2. Safety airbag
If your car is in addition equipped with a safety airbag, it can be learned on "SRS-AIRBAG" inscription. On a steering wheel and a control bulb of "SRS" on the control panel. The airbag of safety (1) is behind a steering wheel and is connected with the clasped seat belts and a natyagivatel of belts, providing the best protection to the driver. Functioning (availability for service) of system of support of an airbag of safety is shown means of a control bulb of "SRS" (3) on the control panel. If the key in the lock of a steering is in situation 1 or 2, the control bulb burns about 4 seconds. If it does not burn, does not die away, flickers or during a trip was lit, there are any violations. The system of support of "SRS" thereby does not work. We suggest to visit immediately in this case service, i.e. there is a danger of refusal of "SRS" at failure. The airbag of safety is arranged so that it works only at severe accidents. The driver should be surely fastened, differently "pillow" in this case will not protect it. At easy face-to-face failures, at revolution, at lateral or back collisions or at other failures at which no powerful forces in front influence, the system of an airbag of safety does not work. Thus the driver and all other passengers have usual protection in the form of seat belts. At operation of SRS system there is a small cloudlet of a smoke. This smoke is not unhealthy and does not conduct to a fire. The expiration date of "pillow" is pasted on a door from the driver. At its expiration it is necessary to visit service. |
