8.4. System of production of exhaust gases

8.4.1. Introduction

GENERAL INFORMATION

The system of production of exhaust gases consists of the forward final pipeline with the catalyst, an average and the main exhaust silencer.

The forward final pipeline is connected by bolts to a final collector, which прифланцован to a head of the block of cylinders. All details are screwed together among themselves, and they can be changed separately. After dismantling it is necessary to apply being self-stopped nuts and consolidations. Check lock rings and a rubber emphasis on lack of porosity and damages, if necessary replace.

At assembly of new system of production of exhaust gases it is recommended to replace and all hinged details.

PETROL ENGINES

It is possible to replace all details of system of production of exhaust gases separately.


Prevention

At assembly of details of system pay attention to that they were rigidly connected. Otherwise at carrying out research of composition of exhaust gases it is possible to receive the wrong results.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Raise the car.
2. Moisten with anticorrosive greasing all bolts and nuts of system of production of exhaust gases. Leave for some time bolts and nuts under the influence of anticorrosive greasing.
3. Unscrew from below the forward final pipeline from a final collector (158/1).
4. 6-cylinder engine: remove the oxygen sensor.
5. Prop up system of production of gases wooden linings.
6. Unscrew on a support (10) bolts (10/3).
7. Turn off nuts (10/2) on a carving plate (10/1). Remove a carving plate.
8. Unhook rubber support (7/1), (9/1), (9/2), (158/2) by means of a self-made hook.
9. Weaken in a set system of production of exhaust gases and Take it.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation of system of production of exhaust gases check, whether the flange to a final collector is bent, if necessary level a flange.
2. Check rubber support on lack of porosity or damages, if necessary replace them.
3. Establish collected new system of production of exhaust gases, slightly tighten connecting flanges.
4. If again establish details of former system of production of exhaust gases, clear a nazhdachny skin of the remains of combustion and corrosion of a place of connections.
Prevention

That it was possible to separate easier nuts and bolts of system of production of exhaust gases later, we recommend to grease them with high-temperature paste, for example, "Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC".


5. Hang system of production of exhaust gases in rubber support (pillows).
6. By turn and shift in the longitudinal direction level system of production of exhaust gases so that everywhere there was a sufficient gap with a body and rubber support were evenly loaded.
7. Screw a carving plate with the moment of 20 N of m.
8. Tighten bolts on a connecting flange with the moment of 20 N of m, and on the forward final pipeline to a collector with the moment of 30 N of m.
9. 6-cylinder engine: establish the oxygen sensor.
10. Start the engine and check tightness of system of production of exhaust gases.
11. Lower the car.

DIESEL ENGINES

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Raise the car.
2. Remove the bottom cover of a motor compartment.
3. Spray all bolts and nuts of system of production of exhaust gases anticorrosive means and wait, while means will start to operate.
4. Unscrew from below the forward final gas pipeline on a final collector (158/1). (158) – catalyst.
5. Prop up system of production of exhaust gases wooden racks.
6. Unscrew nuts (10/2), (8/2) on a carving plate (10/1), (8/1). Remove this plate.
7. Unhook rubber support (7/1), (9/1) independently made keys.
8. Release system of production of exhaust gases and take it.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before assembly of system of production of exhaust gases check, whether the flange to a final collector is bent, in need of it it is necessary to verify.
2. Check rubber support on porosity and absence of damages.
3. Fasten new system of production of exhaust gases, slightly tighten a connecting flange.
4. If old details of system of release are again established, places of connections clear a nazhdachny skin of residual products of combustion and corrosion.
Prevention

That nuts and bolts of system of production of exhaust gases could be unscrewed subsequently easily, it is recommended to miss the mark them with high-temperature paste, for example, "Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC".


5. Hang system of production of gases in rubber support.
6. By means of turn and shift in the longitudinal direction сориентируйте system so that everywhere there was a sufficient interval in relation to a design and rubber support were evenly loaded.
7. Screw a carving plate with the moment of 20 N of m (rough value).
8. Rigidly tighten with the moment of 20 N of m bolts on a connecting flange and bolts to the forward final pipeline on a collector.
9. Start the engine and check tightness of system of production of exhaust gases.
