12.14. Brake shoes of the parking brake

 Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a back brake disk.
2. Remove a back seat.
3. Remove a protective guard of the equalizer of length of a cable under a back seat.
4. Pull the automatic equalizer of length of a cable (12). For this purpose turn a wrench with an internal shestigrannik a crank (g) approximately on 1/2 turns to the right and at the same time advance it back in a longitudinal shliyets while the crank will not be fixed in the case of a spring (and) in a spring clip (d), (е – the lever of the equalizer, f – the intermediate lever, 93 – a safety pin, 94 – an ottyazhny spring.)
5. Turn a flange of a shaft of a back axis (68) so that the opening with a carving was over a spring (107).
6. A clamping spring (107) slightly compress the Mercedes-040 tool, turn on 90 ° (1/4 turns) and unhook. The auxiliary tool can be made also independently: on one party of a bar of the corresponding diameter weld T-shaped, and on other party cut shlitsa depth about 4 mm and width about 2,5 mm.
7. In the same way remove clamping springs of other brake shoes.
8. Disconnect an ottyazhny spring (111) from brake shoes by means of the tool (041) or a screw-driver.
9. Disconnect from each other both brake shoes (112) and remove through a flange of a shaft of a back axis. Note assembly position of the adjusting adaptation. The adjusting wheel is directed forward.
10. Disconnect an ottyazhny spring (112) from brake shoes and Take the adjusting adaptation (104) to (106).
11. To Vytolknita the plug (114) from the rasporny lock (109) also remove the rasporny lock from a cable (86).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. All basic surfaces and surfaces of sliding of the rasporny lock grease with a thin layer of high-temperature greasing, for example, Liqui Moly LM-36, Molykote-Paste-U or G-Rapid.
2. Fix a brake cable (86) with a finger (114) on the rasporny lock (109). Then press the rasporny lock in the direction of a protective ring (102).
3. Unscrew one of other detail of the adjusting adaptation. Grease with high-temperature paste a carving of a press detail, and also a cylindrical part of an adjusting wheel.
4. Screw in a press detail (104) in an adjusting castor (105) and insert into a press sleeve (106). Thus completely screw in a press detail.
5. The adjusting adaptation establish between both brake shoes so that the press detail (104) specified in the movement direction.
6. Connect to brake shoes an ottyazhny spring (112).
7. Move apart brake shoes, establish on a flange of a shaft of a back axis and pass in the rasporny lock.
8. Insert a press spring by means of the auxiliary tool into a brake shoe, having slightly compressed, turn on 90 <M^> about and, as a result, insert into a protective ring. In summary check correctness of landing of a spring.
9. Insert a press spring for other brake shoe.
10. The Ottyazhny spring a small ear insert into a forward brake shoe. A big ear (shooter) by means of a screw-driver insert into other brake shoe.
11. Establish a back brake disk.
12. Weaken the automatic equalizer of length of a cable. For this purpose raise a screw-driver a spring clip then the equalizer of length will be established automatically.
13. Establish a protective cover of the equalizer of length of a cable and twirl bolts.
14. Establish a back seat.
15. Adjust the parking brake.
