The storage battery is on the right side under a trunk floor.
Prevention
Some serially established automobile radio receivers have coding. Anticreeping coding interferes with incompetent commissioning of the device if the electroproviding system is interrupted. The electroproviding system, for example, interrupts at a detachment of wires from plugs of the storage battery, at removal of a radio receiver or if fused a radio receiver safety lock. If the radio receiver is coded, before a detachment of wires from plugs of the storage battery fix a radio code. If the code is unknown, only the repair truck of Mercedes firm can place again in operation an automobile radio receiver.

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. It is impossible to insert the ignition key. |
2. Disconnect wires from plugs of the storage battery, at first a wire (3) connecting a pole of the storage battery (–) with the car case, then a positive wire (4) (+), for this purpose cast away up a protective cover (6). |
3. Remove from the storage battery the pipeline (5) for removal of being allocated gases. |
4. Unscrew and get bolts (1) to a fixing plate (2) on the basis of the storage battery. The storage battery on 100 A-h has only one bolt. |
5. Take the storage battery.
Prevention
Storage batteries contain harmful substances which should not get to household garbage. Upon purchase of the new storage battery old return to the seller or hand over on points of warehousing of a special waste.

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Before installation clear to shine of a pole of the storage battery, the brush from a brass wire for this purpose approaches. For corrosion prevention both poles cover with antiacid greasing. |
2. Establish the storage battery, get it on a fixing plate and hardly screw. |
3. Pull over the storage battery the pipeline for removal of being allocated gases. |
4. Attach to plugs a positive wire to a positive pole (+), then negative (case) a wire to a negative pole.
Prevention
Wires to the storage battery connect only at the switched-off ignition, the actuation device of system of injection of fuel otherwise can be damaged. Because of the wrong connection of the battery there can be considerable damages to the generator and electric system.
Pay attention to irreproachable connections with the case of the car and pure contacts. High transitional resistance of contacts brings, especially at start-up, to an overload of electronic actuation devices and can in extreme case become the reason of their failure.
|
5. Close a protective cover on a positive pole and fix it. |
6. Establish time on hours. |
7. Enter an anticreeping code for radio (see subsection 14.1.16.). |
