Storage batteries which long were not used, discharged independently, and, besides, their plates can be просульфатированы. If these batteries are charged by means of the fast-charger, they do not absorb a charging current or because of a so-called superficial charge appear too early "completely charged". They seem faulty. But before considering these storage batteries faulty, they should be checked.
Check electrolit density. If in all cells the density of electrolit differs among themselves no more than on 0,04 g/ml, this storage battery can be charged the standard charger.
If the density in one or two next cells deviates more considerably (more than 0,04 g/ml), the storage battery has internal short circuit and is faulty.
After a charging test the storage battery under loading. If it does not reach preset values, it is faulty.
To prevent aging of the storage battery, it is necessary to recharge the stored battery each three months.
