3.1.16. Compression
Check of a compression allows to draw conclusions on an engine condition. At its check it is possible to establish, whether in norm valves or pistons (piston rings) or they are worn-out. Besides, by results of control it is possible to define, whether the engine is subject to replacement or it can be repaired in a complex. For check the device is necessary for compression control. The pressure difference between separate cylinders should make at most 1,5 bar. If the difference in pressure makes more than 1,5 bar, it is a sign of defective valves, worn-out piston rings or directing the cylinder. If will reach a wear limit, it is necessary to repair or replace the engine. Pressure of compression should make: for the 4-cylinder engine 10-14 a bar, for 6-cylinder near the 12th bar. |
