3.1.3.3. Engine ventilation

GENERAL INFORMATION

Ventilation of the engine is necessary, that in the case of a cranked shaft there was no harmful superfluous pressure.

As piston rings cannot carry out rather densely sealing, hot gases get into a case of a cranked shaft. The mix of hot oil and паров fuel can create superfluous pressure which harmfully influences the krivoshipno-shatunny mechanism. In order to avoid it gases should be sucked away through a connecting hose from the engine and be burned.

The closed ventilation of the engine does not demand maintenance.
